A recorded fare is a starting point for a booking decision. Here is what our data covers, how to read it and how we prepare our guidance.
Who runs this site?
Cruise Price Check by Codify Limited is an independent cruise comparison project operated by Codify Limited, UK company number 15861473. We are not a travel agent or cruise line. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by any cruise line listed here. Bookings and payments take place on the provider’s website under its own terms.
Questions or corrections can be sent to harry@cruisepricecheck.com. Include the page address and the detail you think needs changing. Do not send booking credentials or payment details.
Coverage and freshness
We collect sailing and fare information from cruise-line websites and their booking services for Celebrity, Royal Caribbean, Virgin Voyages, Norwegian Cruise Line and MSC Cruises. We do not compare every cruise line, travel agent, negotiated rate or promotion.
Price checks are scheduled every 4 hours; they are not live quotes. A failed check or an unavailable fare can leave an older observation in the data. Use the individual fare’s checked timestamp to judge its freshness. The last recorded change is the time of a price movement, not necessarily the most recent check.
Price history covers the observations available to us. Gaps do not prove that a price stayed the same. “Recorded low” does not mean an all-time or market-wide low, and a displayed reduction is not a guarantee that an equivalent fare can still be booked. A missing fare does not confirm that a cabin or sailing is sold out.
Comparing fares fairly
Displayed fares use the currency and cabin data supplied to us, with GBP used for our main browsing experience. Check whether the final quote is per person or for the whole party, and confirm occupancy, ages, taxes, fees, gratuities and package inclusions directly with the seller.
Broad cabin categories help you narrow a search. They do not make every inside, balcony or suite offer equivalent. Cabin location, view, assignment rules and bundled benefits can differ.
For a useful comparison, match the departure period, duration, cabin standard and travellers, then add the transport and extras you would actually buy. We do not infer that one line is better value from the lowest fare across two different fleets.
How the guides are written
Our guides are desk-researched explanations of the product and published cruise-line information. They are not first-hand ship reviews. We use AI-assisted research and drafting, check factual statements against linked sources and review copy for clarity. We do not invent travel experience or traveller ratings.
Policy and package claims link to the relevant cruise-line pages. Each guide carries a review date. Terms can change, and pages for different countries can describe different offers. Your booking confirmation and applicable terms determine what the provider will offer you.
Illustrative calculations are labelled as examples. They are not current quotes. We keep editorial review dates separate from fare timestamps and do not refresh a guide’s date simply because a data sync ran.
Use the result to decide your next step
A shortlist saves options, a comparison puts sailings side by side, and a price alert checks a target against recorded data. Saved-search emails concern newly matching sailings. None reserves inventory or confirms a booking.
